Information we collect
If you phone us or fill in the enquiry form, we record what you choose to provide. Typically that is your name, phone number, email, the property's suburb or street address, and a description of the roof problem, sometimes with photos. Our website may also log routine technical data, such as which pages were visited and the browser or device used, so we can keep the site running and see how people use it.
Why we collect it
Your details are used to:
- reply to your enquiry;
- set up a roof inspection and quote with an independent local roofing contractor;
- follow up on your enquiry; and
- improve this website and the way we handle enquiries.
We do not sell your personal information.
Who sees it
To organise the inspection and quote you asked for, we pass your contact details and the job description to one or more independent roofing contractors who service your area. Those contractors handle your information under their own privacy obligations. We also use service providers, for example form, phone and hosting platforms, that process information for us. Beyond that, we disclose information only where the law requires or allows it.
Keeping it secure
We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access. Data sent over the internet can never be guaranteed fully secure, so please do not include sensitive information that the enquiry does not need.
Cookies and analytics
The site may use cookies or similar tools to work properly and to understand usage. Your browser settings let you block or delete cookies, although some features might then not work as intended.
Seeing or correcting your information
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to fix it if it is wrong. Ring 02 3814 2198 during business hours or use the website form, and we will reply within a reasonable time.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your personal information, contact us first so we can try to resolve it. If that does not settle the matter, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
